TRANSFORMERS: THE RIDE-3D
Diagnosis:
How do we make the launch of Transformers: The Ride-3D feel like an interactive experience beyond the confines of Universal Studios Hollywood theme park?
Prescription:
Working alongside Michael Bay’s team, we created a social experience which invited Transformer fans and non-fans across the nation to rise through the ranks of N.E.S.T.—an elite group of human military and Autobots—and take part in real-life missions to prevent the Decepticon invasion. In the end, the most decorated soldiers were handsomely rewarded.
Results:
Our idea was Trailer Park’s first foray into digital/social for USH and a piece of business we stole from their AOR. As for ticket sales, we sold out the first month of ticket sales for Universal Studios Hollywood and it was lauded as the park’s most successful ride launch in history.
